Regina Alexander, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker. Her professional interests include gender/gender identity, infectious disease and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy. She practices in an integrated behavioral health setting.
She believes in access to quality healthcare – for both the body and mind – is an unquestionable right for all. Particularly in stigmatized and disenfranchised communities, she believes providers need to be not just sensitive but educated, understanding and accepting. She is especially passionate about working with people who do not often have access to a support system that fully accepts and commits to helping them.
In her spare time, she is a Girl Scout leader for her daughter’s troop. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and their dog, especially where there is music and sunshine.
“Affirmation and authenticity are vitally important to good mental health. This means I accept and meet each patient where they are and work with them to develop their own concept of wellness and to move toward that goal.” – Regina Alexander, MSW, LCSW
