Miriam Sevilla Saez-Benito, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist, who specializes in child and adolescents. She is part of Cone Health Behavioral Health Services and a member of Cone Health Medical Group.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Sevilla Saez-Benito was previously an assistant professor at University of South Alabama and worked with Children’s Hospital of Alabama. She has presented on topics such as neuroleptic withdrawal emergent syndrome, autism spectrum disorder and cognition changes among (a)typical antipsychotics.
Speaking from the perspective of being both a psychiatrist and mom, she has been featured in a Wellness Matters video segment as an expert on “What To Do About Bullying.”
As a volunteer, she has raised awareness of psychiatric diagnoses and treatment options, especially among the Spanish speaking community. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, cooking, reading, watching soccer and traveling with her family.
