Executive Council Charter

The Cone Health Medical Group (CHMG) Executive Council is established as a standing committee of the Cone Health Medical Group as of September 1, 2012. The Committee is charged with developing the Cone employed practices into a high performing medical group. The Executive Council will provide governance and direction to enable the Cone Health Medical Group to (in general order of priority):

• Measurably improve the health of patients served by Cone Health and CHMG
• Support Cone Health’s strategic direction and competitive position in the Triad market
• Create an employment platform for CHMG to recruit and retain top physician talent
• Deliver top-decile performance on clinical quality, safety and patient satisfaction measures

The Council shall be charged with the governance and oversight of the Cone Health Medical Group, subject to the governance, oversight and policies of Cone Health and its Board of Trustees. The Council shall meet monthly and shall report to the Cone Health Board of Trustees or a designated Board Subcommittee as requested.
